Tessa Virtue LOVES AinslieWear

2010 Olympic Champion, 2018 Olympic Champion, 2014 Olympic Silver Medalist, and Canadian sweet heart Tessa Vitue is known for her grace on the ice and infectious smile. Watching Tessa Virtue & Scott Moir dazzle in one of their routines could capture you for hours and hours of viewing pleasure.

As Australians we have a fascination with all things ice dancing, ice skating and winter sports, our climate is possibly the furtherest from Canada and on a stinking hot Summers day at Christmas most of us would love even just a little winter to enjoy.

Ice dancing disciplines originate from Ballroom Dancing.  Ice Dance joined the World Figure Skating Championships in 1952, and became a Winter Olympic sport in 1976.  Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir are at the very top of the game.

They effortlessely float around the rink with ease and make the whole thing seem easy and effortless. Unlike Figure Skating which is more structured Ice Dancing has more freedom of movement, flow and character. Which offers some wonderful parallels to our world of dance and ballet.

Tessa Virtue has often been seen in AinslieWear leotards and has openly expressed her love for our stunning pieces.

Here are her favourites:

If you haven’t yet watched their documentary Roxanne then add it to your list of ‘must watch items’ (click here) it’s so intriguing to view the relationship between our dancing and ice dancing and witness the determination that goes into winning (multiple) Olympic gold medals.

Whatever Tessa and Scott Moir do now in their retirement we will be watching.

Sending love to Tessa & Scott
