How Dance Has Been Affected By COVID-19

What a world we are living in!

As the COVID-19 Pandemic wreaks havoc around the globe there aren't many people who are not feeling the shift in the current state of the world.

Performing Arts as with many different industries has drastically felt the impact right around the world.

Theatres are closed, classes are cancelled, tours have been postponed and competitions up in the air.

It's an unbelievable reality.  One which I'm sure has people shocked with every new day.

What the dance community has shown though is incredible resilience and ability to overcome adversity, the ability to adapt and change to keep people dancing (in some form) is inspirational.

Teachers have moved classes online, dads have built ballet barres and tap floors, teachers are teaching from empty studios to a computer screen filled with their students whom they miss greatly and visa versa.

It's a whole new world.

And with every video we see online and every dancer we see in there lounge room I'm proud of their appearance their commitment to their ballet attire, shoes, tights and hair so neatly as if they were still in their beloved studios.

Our commitment to our customers hasn't changed.  Our online store is fully functional with up to date stock availability and FREE postage on all orders over $100 (within Australia).

The impact has been felt in Canada with lockdown still enforced in AinslieWears home town.  As a result you might not see any other the new stock (other than this gorgeous Super Exclusive which arrived last week) for a few months as the factory works though their backlog of shipments.  Of course though, we will keep you posted.

We encourage you to support our Exclusive Retailers as they also feel the massive effects of this pandemic.  Check individual stores for opening hours and changes in operations at this time.

Keep Dancing (in some way)

Team AinslieWear x
